Pretorius powershow pick of Pro20

Lhuan-dre Pretorius smashed a T20 world record for the Titans, while Wihan Lubbe and Dian Forrester starred with the bat for the North West Dragons.

Pretorius produced a staggering unbeaten 188 off 79 balls as the Titans piled up 267-3 at Mangaung Oval.

The opener cleared the ropes 13 times and struck 15 fours in a brutal innings that surpassed Chris Gayle’s previous T20 record of 175 not out.

The Knights had no answer in the chase and were bowled out for 143, with Donovan Ferreira and Junior Dala taking three wickets each as the Titans sealed a 124-run win.

At the Wanderers, Mitchell van Buuren led the Lions with 66 as they posted 205-5.

The Dragons responded strongly through Wihan Lubbe, who struck 55, before Forrester’s unbeaten half-century carried the chase through to the final over.

They reached 207-4 with four balls remaining to complete a six-wicket victory.
