Tour de France femmes: Marlen Reusser remporte le chrono individuel et prend le pouvoir
Ce mardi 4 août, les favorites pour le classement général du Tour de France étaient attendues aux avant-postes lors du contre-la-montre de 21 kilomètres en Bourgogne entre Gevrey-Chambertin et Dijon, premier moment clé dans la lutte pour le maillot jaune. Lors de cette quatrième étape, la Suissesse Marlen Reusser, championne du monde en titre du chrono, s’est imposée en signant le meilleur temps. La Française Pauline Ferrand-Prévot a concédé plus de deux minutes à la Suissesse. Marlen Reusser, qui a remporté le Tour de Suisse en juin dernier pour la troisième fois, est la nouvelle leader du Tour de France femmes en prenant le maillot jaune à la Norvégienne Sigrid Ytterhus Haugset. La Néerlandaise Demi Volering, grande favorite à la victoire finale a terminé à 22 secondes de Marlen Reusser.
Kenyan giants Gor Mahia dismiss Al Hilal to reach Cecafa Club Championships final

The Kenyan champions had taken the lead in the 36th minute via an own goal by Steven Ebuela before Al Hilal equalised eight minutes later through Ansumana Samura.
With both teams unable to breach each other’s defence from then on, the game proceeded to extra time where more drama awaited after Jackson Dwang’ was red-carded for foul play.
It mattered little though as Charles Akonnor’s side held on to the end to take the game to post-match penalties where K’Ogalo held their nerve to emerge victorious.
They will now await the winner of the other semi-final between South Sudan’s Jamus FC and Rwanda’s Rayon Sports.

Le combattant brésilien de MMA Allan Nascimento, qui évoluait dans les rangs de l'UFC depuis 2021 est décédé lundi à l'âge de 34 ans, a annoncé l'organisation mardi 4 août. « Notre cher boxeur de la catégorie poids mouches, Allan Nascimento, a été retrouvé inanimé après avoir apparemment été victime d'une crise cardiaque pendant son sommeil », a déclaré l'UFC sur ses réseaux sociaux. « Malgré les efforts de l'équipe médicale dépêchée sur place, son décès a été constaté sur les lieux ». Le Brésilien avait disputé son dernier combat le 20 juin dernier à Las Vegas, subissant une défaite sur décision partagée face à l'Américain Mitch Raposo. Depuis le début de sa carrière, il comptait 22 victoires, dont 16 par soumission, pour sept défaites. « Véritable pilier aux portes du Top 15, Nascimento était toujours aux côtés de ses coéquipiers lors de leurs entrées sur le ring, entretenant des liens particulièrement étroits avec l'ancien champion des poids légers et actuel détenteur du titre BMF, Charles Oliveira », a précisé l'UFC. Ce dernier lui a rendu hommage, estimant avoir perdu « un frère ». « Ça fait tellement mal. Je t'aime pour toujours, tu ne seras jamais oublié », a-t-il déclaré sur Instagram.
Siya back for fully-loaded Boks
Rassie Erasmus has recalled seven experienced Springboks for Saturday’s Test against Argentina in Buenos Aires, with regular skipper Siya Kolisi named in the match 23.
Kolisi takes back the captain’s armband, with locks Eben Etzebeth and Lood de Jager, flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and scrumhalf Morné van den Berg also all coming back from injury.
Centre André Esterhuizen and outside back Ethan Hooker, who picked up niggles during the Nations Championship last month, also return.

The starting XV carries 13 changes from the lineup that beat Wales in the Boks’ last outing.
Seven players from that 43-0 victory in Durban retain their places in the 23, though only two – fullback Aphelele Fassi and scrumhalf Cobus Reinach – start.
The other five, Jan-Hendrik Wessels, Ben-Jason Dixon, Marco van Staden, Cobus Wiese and Gerhard Steenekamp, have been named among the replacements in a 6-2 split.
Van den Berg and Handré Pollard are the backline cover on the bench.

Erasmus has fielded an entirely new front five. Boan Venter and Thomas du Toit pack down alongside Johan Grobbelaar in the front row, with Etzebeth partnering De Jager at lock. Kolisi, Elrigh Louw and Cameron Hanekom form the loose trio.
In the backline, Reinach and Feinberg-Mngomezulu combine at halfback, while Esterhuizen lines up alongside Canan Moodie in midfield.
Hooker, Edwill van der Merwe and Fassi complete an exciting back three.
